Imágenes de diseños y motivos que surgieron alrededor de 1880. Varicaciones de este estilo fueron incluidas en el Art Noveau en Francia y en las Escuelas de Artes y Oficios de Inglaterra.

Este estilo fue conocido en Alemania como Jugendsti, literalmente "joven estilo" tipificado por sus lineas fluidas, composiciones florales y un rico uso del detalles y color.

La importancia de este estilo se impuso rapidamente y predominó sobre otras formas y estilos en Europa sobre todo en las Artes y la arquitectura, y sobrevivió hasta bien entrado los años 1920.
