Resumen

With the Renaissance in the 15th and 16th centuries came a revival of interest in the classical arts of Ancient Greece and Rome. Although the sculpture and architectural ornamentation during the Renaissance tended to be complex, two-dimensional patterns were often more subdued.

Renaissance Patterns is part of a series that covers the decorative styles prevalent in Europe since the beginning of the Western calendar.
