The Human Figure features wonderful examples of instructive drawing of the human figure from the 16th century onwards. Interesting to see is both the change in perception of the 'ideal body' as well as the development of drawing techniques. Particularly instructive in this book is the visual extent, which includes detailed images of bones and complete skeletons, an overview of muscle structures and the nude as well as the clothed body. Another unique feature is the free CD packed with the book: it contains digital files of all illustrations for immediate use, either to print for further manual elaboration or as a digital template.
